About us

We are convinced that these approaches, which generally belong to the field of Digital Humanities or Computational Literary Studies, have a high potential to offer innovative insights into the way in which literary material can be analysed and, above all, reinterpreted.
The Centre’s research will also explore the possibilities of artificial intelligence (AI), both in terms of its practical applications and the possibilities it might offer for the study of literary texts (see Research).
The Centre’s mission is also to collaborate professionally with domestic and international institutions oriented towards DH research in literature and book studies, while organising professional meetings between similarly oriented researchers in literary and linguistic philology in the Czech Republic (see conferences section).
Other activities of CDHvLaP also include efforts to develop awareness of digital methods applied in literature and book studies among the younger generation, especially among students of (especially) Bohemian studies (see Teaching).
